Appreciating Our Employees

It’s become a tradition to share with my blog friends one of my favorite days at Stampin’ Up!—our annual Employee Appreciation Breakfast. We’ve hosted this springtime breakfast for our employees for years as one way to thank them for the awesome work they do.

Our management team dons aprons and serve eggs and French toast and ham and fruit throughout the morning; it’s a wonderful opportunity to say “thanks” face to face!

In addition, we also announce the employee recipients of our Heart of Stampin’ Up! award. This is an award we’ve given our demonstrators for many years, and decided several years ago that we wanted to recognize our employees who were living the Statement of the Heart as well.

For those of you who may not know, our Stampin’ Up! Statement of the Heart (mission statement) reads: To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference. I believe in recognizing and rewarding members of our Stampin’ Up! family (demonstrators and employees alike) who live their lives this way.

Of course, as with every year, I could have recognized so many employees with this award! I am surrounded by amazing men and women who love what they do and devote themselves to helping each other and our demonstrators in every way they can . . . there are many who deserve this recognition!

The winners receive a thank-you gift (for the past several years it’s been a gift card along with a caramel apple) and a warm hug, as well as recognition in front of their co-workers. This year’s winners were Marizela Silva, Kris Fiedler, and Steve Ensminger. Congratulations to these wonderful people!

We will be holding our Kanab Employee Appreciation Breakfast next week, and will be recognizing a Heart of Stampin’ Up! winner down there as well, so the thanking and celebrating isn’t over yet!
