A Morning at the Theater

We celebrated Sidney’s (yesterday) and Shalae’s (today) birthdays this morning in grand style, watching “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Hale Center Theater in West Valley City.

We had an opportunity to get a block of tickets several weeks ago for a morning matinee, so when we saw today’s date was one of the available days, we thought we could make it a fun family celebration. We invited all the girls and their families to the show, along with lunch afterwards.

Not everyone could make it (a few grandsons were playing in football games, a few other grandchildren were with their other grandparents), but most of us were there, and it was so fun for me to look down the row and see children of all ages, entranced by what was happening on the stage.

It was a great production—I love the Hale Center Theater! They always do such a great job, and the stage is absolutely amazing! I’m a total fan. . .

After the show we went to lunch, then Sidney went shopping with her mom (she had some birthday money to spend!), and she invited her grandma and aunts to come along. What an honor! So I spent another few hours playing with the Gardner girls. . .

It was a great way to start out the weekend!
