What a fun last few days I’ve had! This year, for the first time ever, our Rising Stars earned an incentive trip to the home office! And what a trip it was!
I was only involved in three events (greeting the stars, doing Make & Takes with them, and then a final dinner), but I was tired just hearing about their jam-packed days! I teased them a little during the final dinner, telling them I was surprised—and thrilled—that they were still standing, but even after two days (plus a travel day), they were awake and enthusiastic!
Seriously, though, this was a fabulous event! The group was small and intimate, which meant that they got to know each other better, and we got to spend some valuable time with them as well. The event was designed to not only pamper them but to also support and encourage them as they continue to build their businesses. They enjoyed amazing food, participated in some fun activities, and also attended invaluable training and classes focused on what they need to know to continue along the road to Stampin’ Up! success.
I was impressed as I visited with each Rising Star; it was a diverse group, each one with great ideas, lots of enthusiasm, and a passion and love for Stampin’ Up! They are among a group of new leaders, and it was a privilege to spend time with them.
I especially enjoyed the opportunity to sit down and do the Make & Takes. It’s been a long time since I’ve stamped without having a pressing deadline, and so to stamp simply for the fun of it—and with such a creative, fun group—was such a pleasure! We made four projects, each one featuring new products from the upcoming Spring Catalog, and we just moved from table to table, in no particular order and with no set time limit, enjoying each others’ company and enjoying stamping together. Can’t wait to do that again!
And we do plan on this happening again! Our Rising Star Home Office visit will hopefully be an amazing incentive for our new demonstrators to work for and look forward to when they join our family. I know I’m already looking forward to meeting next year’s group!
