Yesterday morning, I was doing a phone interview with a writer who is putting together an article for Direct Selling News, and one of the questions she asked me was what motivates me. My answer was immediate—people! Didn’t even have to think about it.
And then I headed into work to enjoy in our annual summer BBQ, and it was just reinforced. As in years past, we had great BBQ food, a volleyball tournament, and some down time to relax and enjoy. One of the volleyball teams even invited me to come play with them! I told them I appreciated the invitation, but I was pretty sure they didn’t really need (or want!) me on the court—it’s pretty competitive out there and I’m pretty bad at volleyball (actually, any sport)!
As I walked around and talked to people and even just sat and watched people, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of love for the people I work with. I wished I could give everyone a hug, but I settled for the few who I could grab.
I know I said the same thing about our Kanab picnic, but it’s so true! I don’t know how to describe the overwhelming feeling of gratitude I have, but I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be involved with so many people, and I’m grateful for days like these that provide opportunities for us to just relax together and enjoy each others’ company.
