A Marvelous Convention in Melbourne

Sorry it's taken me so long to blog about our South Pacific convention. We returned on Sunday but it's taken longer than expected to gather the photos. . . they were worth waiting for though!

It was another great event with great people! I know, I know, I could say that about every Stampin’ Up! event (and usually do), but it’s true. . . what a wonderful opportunity to gather with amazing people who love what they do—it’s inspiring and uplifting!

Our annual convention (now called Inspire. Create. Share. event) was our largest event so far in the South Pacific, with almost 700 people in attendance. Woo hoo! We’re renaming our annual convention events to shine the spotlight more completely on what we’ve always done—inspire people (in lots of different ways), create fun projects, and share what we love with others.

It was fun to see a few faces that I had just seen about two weeks ago—several of our South Pacific demonstrators had earned the incentive trip, so we were able to reminisce about the incentive trip. We had a half-day leadership training for the first time (we’ve had shorter leadership classes, but this one was several hours long), topped off by a terrific Managers’ Reception at Myer Mural Hall.

We also loved seeing so many first-time attendees—we invited them to stand and be recognized, and it was wonderful to see how many demonstrators were discovering the magic that is a Stampin’ Up! event.

The rest of the event was packed full of inspiration, creating, and sharing. I think our new event name (which is our tagline, so it’s definitely not a new idea) is a perfect description for what we do at this event. Several demonstrators mentioned that they felt it was perfectly paced. . . they didn’t feel rushed but there was always something new to see or learn or try to keep them interested and excited. I totally agree! As always, kudos to our amazing events people who make these incredible events happen!

Besides spending time with great people and truly being inspired by what I heard and saw, the other thing that I enjoyed about this particular event was the weather. Of course, we were indoors most of the week, but still. . . I’ve never seen it so warm and gorgeous! It rained one day, but other than that, the entire week was amazing.

That’s probably plenty. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. But thanks to all who attended!
