This weekend was the island’s SA and YSA Regional Conference. (SA and YSA stand for single adult and young single adult.) The conference is an annual event where singles get together to be spiritually uplifted, to meet and make new friends, and to just have a good time together.
We were asked by our branch family to join in the fun, even though we are far from young or single, and we had a wonderful weekend! The conference began and ended with devotionals. Choices of activities included hiking, fishing, going to the temple, attending several classes, a talent show, two dances (one was at the USS Missouri...40s themed), and lots of visiting!
It was well planned and well attended…over 700 registered…the largest group ever! Because of work schedules, our branch family couldn’t attend everything, but we had great representation during the three days. We love our little branch, and we're so grateful to be part of their lives!
