Birthday Weekend in Canada

Sterling and I flew to Calgary on my birthday and drove to Lethbridge to attend Lisa’s Cookies and Cards Class where she surprised me with balloons and a cupcake—so sweet! We stamped and ate yummy homemade cookies while visiting, of course. It was delightful!

The next morning, we drove back to Calgary via Cardston and Waterton (a little out of the way road trip) and were amazed at the expansive fields and scenery! Then we stamped and chatted with Dale, Carrie, and four demonstrators (Doris, Maureen, Jennifer, and Shelly) at the Calgary office. We finished the day at Modern Milk—a rustic-chic restaurant in a converted dairy—and enjoyed good food and a nice evening with Kristine and Allison.

Saturday was a full day with a visit to Delphine and her upline Eldonna, who recently suffered from a stroke and is gratefully recovering well. Sterling and I then dropped in for a surprise visit at an event held by Karina, Brenda, and Donna. I love surprises, and that was a fun surprise!

Rose was having a weekend retreat in Canmore, so that was our next stop for a couple of hours. It was nice to see a group of women casually visiting while crafting on their own projects. A special cake, made by Twila, was shared with all, and then we left for Banff.

Sterling was thrilled to call our trip to Banff and our stay at the Fairmont at Banff Springs my birthday gift, and I was thrilled with a day to attend church and explore Banff and Lake Louise with my sweetheart! It was a brilliant trip to Canada and the best birthday weekend!
