Season of Thanks

OK, the next SoShelli.com Creative Challenge is pretty much a no-brainer—I mean, given this time of year, it pretty much has to be about giving thanks, don’t you think? Now, of course, I recognize that many of you don’t live in the United States, but those of you who live in Canada just celebrated Thanksgiving, and many other countries celebrate a day of thanksgiving in one form or another at some point throughout the year. So, although Thanksgiving is not a worldwide holiday, I hope you’ll all understand and agree that it’s a great focus for a challenge, whether you’re officially celebrating it or not.

So, what are the guidelines? Pretty wide open--create a project that shows or documents something(s) you’re thankful for. It can be a card, scrapbook page, favor, gift—whatever, just have fun with it and remember to be thankful for Stampin’ Up! while you’re working on it. (smile)

A couple of things to keep in mind—

  • This challenge will go through November 15, when I’ll post a new one (and I bet you can’t guess what that topic will be. . . ).
  • When you submit your project, please make sure the link works. There are a few links this month that didn’t work when I clicked on them. (See instructions for posting a submission below.) While I borrowed these instructions from similar contests and checked them out before posting them, I’m not an IT expert, and I have discovered that, in the world of computers and the Internet, even when I follow instructions exactly, things don't always happen like they’re supposed to, so be sure to check out your link after you've posted it.
  • Also when you provide your link, if you could have it link only to your single submission, it would sure help me a lot. It’s very time consuming (not to mention sometimes confusing) for me to have to sort through several projects and try to figure out which one is THE one. I’d appreciate that.

I’ll post the winners for the Halloween SoShelli Creative Challenge in the next couple of days. Thanks so much for your interest and support of this idea; it’s fun to see all your projects. As always, I’m inspired when I see what other people can do with a little rubber, ink, and paper.

Instructions for Posting a Submission:

After you've completed your project, scan it or take a picture. Upload the file to your blog or in an online gallery, and then come back here. Leave a comment on this entry with a link; be sure to link to a specific web page and not to your image file. Please don't e-mail me your files; only projects submitted with links will be eligible.

I recently reached my one year anniversary with Stampin' Up! and am so grateful I took the plunge. Of course, the benefits are wonderful. However, I never anticipated the amazing community of friends and demos I would make (mostly virtual in my business model). This card is a special thank you to my demo pal, Silke, who has supported me, my blog and gone above and beyond in kindness shared over the past year.

Great theme for a challenge. I just posted the perfect project! At this time of year I'm always reminded how greatful I am for my family and their fabulous cooking talents - I'm am so not a cook. I can stamp - but I can't cook.

So here's a look at the project I made to place my Mom's homemade cookies in.

I hope it is OK to submit these pages. I made these with the attendees of my scrapbook class this month. I was excited to make Thanksgiving pages as for the first time my husband and I will be hosting his family at our home for Thanksgiving this year. I'm really looking forward to having them here.

I am thankful for my wonderful customers, including the Club members that all made this 6x6 scrapbook page last month. I used a photo of my husband and son, whom I am also very thankful for!

Being from Houston, I am thankful that there are wonderful places we can travel to and actually see what leaves changing really look like! I love fall and all that comes with it - family, friends, cooler weather, good soups, fall decorations and more! But, if I want to see those beautiful changing leaves right now, I can only stamp them!
Thanks for another great challenge, Shelli!

Hi Shelli! I am thankful for my husband and my two boys, and the time we spend together as a family. I love the colors of fall and we had a great time playing in the leaves taking these photos... even if both boys didn't want their photo taken!!

I'm also thankful for all of the great SU! products I am able to use to preserve my precious memories!!!

Smiles & hugs!

hi Shelli!!

Thank you so much for these great contests. Here is my submission. It was our place settings and Thanksgiving Dinner recently and with my mum just out of hospital and my mother in law going through chemo, I'm reminded everyday how special my family is and while we don't all get together for dinner regularly we're always in each others thoughts.
