My Celebrate Spread

I’m so excited to share my idea for this month’s SoShelli.com challenge--and to look at yours.

These pages highlight family photos taken at Convention 2008. We love being silly in front of the camera! I used our convention colors and then spotted a quilt in a Pottery Barn catalog, which was the inspiration behind the design.

I think journaling is very important in scrapbooking, but I wanted to show as many photos as I could, so I solved the dilemma by tucking some journaling behind the large photo.

You need to know I haven't looked at a single entry because I didn't want to be influenced (or copy) any of your original works of art, but now that I've posted mine, I get to start looking!

Be sure to send in your submissions in the next week or two; the deadline for submissions will be August 30, and I’ll post my favorites the week after!

Can't believe I am the first to comment!! I absolutely love your artwork!! I love what you did with the journaling page. Very clever!! I look forward to seeing more of your artwork in future entries. Can't wait to see what everyone else has done too. Guess I need to get moving with mine too. Have a blessed day!!

And she scrapbooks too!
I am amazed that you can find the time to run a successful company, spend quality time with your family, scrapbook AND read pottery barn catalogues!
I know in theory the company was created because you wanted quality for your own craft but to see that you can still find the time to craft is refreshing.
This page is gorgeous!
I quite often get distracted by the beautiful dsp's and prints packs that I forget about making my own patterned paper with stamps

WOW Shelli! These two pages are fantastic. Absolutely love the colors and the pictures are awesome! Wish I could have attended convention this year, but it was the same time my middle son turned 9 years old. Couldn't miss his b'day.
Hey, did you ever receive the "shoe" cake server I brought for you last convention? I had to leave it with one of your employees. Hopefully you got it!
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs!

I LOVE how your pages turned out!!! I know you tried to describe them to me over the phone, but it's never the same. I cracked up when I saw all of Sage's funny faces...She is such a goof ball! hugs

Shelli, you are AMAZING! I seriously don't know where you find the time. The fact that you actually stamp/create your own pages is so inspirational!

You are a true leader in every sense of the word. Thank you! Sarah :)

It is so stirring to see something created and to be inspired by the "Big Boss Lady!" To know and see you live and work by the Statement of the Heart is so inspiring, I Love being a part of the Stampin' Up! crew!

These pages are wonderful. My downline and I were in the Main Stage area when you all were having the photos taken. We had wanted to go up on stage to take our own photos so we lagged behind. Then you and your family got up before we could and started your photo session. It was really funny to watch, however we felt like we were imposing on your personal family time, so we left. I find it funny that those were the photos you chose to highlight in your pages. You seem to have a very fun family. Lucky you.

Shelli, these are absolutely stunning! The pages are gorgeous, but the photographs are amazing too!!! My sister-in-law is a photographer, but I don't know that we would ever be able to get our family to be that spunky and fun. Thank you so much for sharing your creations!

HUGS!

WOW! What a great page. I love the way you have the journaling hidden so it doesn't take up room so that you picture gets more space. I guess I need to start on something to submit!

Thank you so much for sharing your creative talent with us! I always love to watch you work on stage (of course I really loved the year you and Sara did the tag team stamping!) but to see what you can do when you really have time...WOW! Great photos, great elements, great design...great lady!

I love your pages, Shelli....what fun! And congratulations to all for your newest family addition!

I need to mention my immense feeling of frustration that I am having right now! After about 1/2 hour of time spent uploading my challenge creation to my DBWS (including putting my detailed recipe), I clicked on "save" and was told that my session "timed out"!....so, I guess I'll forget about entering my card...........I just don't have the time to waste trying to upload it again! Yes, I'm very frustrated..........to say the least.
