Mother's Day Creative Challenge

I haven't had time to blog--we've been busy planning and preparing for Grandpa Great's funeral. I know you all understand, but I did want to post the challenge so you could get started on it. It seemed appropriate and obvious to go with a Mother's Day theme. Mother's Day cards, Mother's Day gifts, anything that honors mothers. (Bet you can't guess what June might be!)

I will be posting last month's challenge winners as soon as I can. Again, thank you for your patience with that as well.

Good luck, and I look forward to seeing your submissions!

Shelli,
Thank you for taking the time to think of us when you are going through this difficult time with your family. I will keep you all in my prayers. It's nice to know that your Father In-law was so loved and that he and your husband were close. God Bless you,
Taanasa

So sorry to hear of the loss of your father-in-law. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

For Mother's Day, I am giving my mother-in-law this album that I finished last night. She moved to the Big Island a year ago, so I wanted to share some pictures with her of a few things we've done during the year she's been over there. The link shows the album before I put pictures in it. Let me know if you'd like me to send a pic of it now that it has pictures inside. I totally fell in love with the Great Friend stamp set and coordinating Walk in the Park DSP. I also bought the rubons, and will need ot see how they'll fit in once I finish journaling mom-in-law's Mother's Day gift.

Shelli, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandfather. He sounds like an amazing man. I know you and Sterling are going to miss him alot.

Maybe these mother's day projects will help cheer you up a little.

My Grandma Black was an amazing woman, especially with a needle and thread. This card is a tribute to her scrap quilts. They were made from the scraps left over from the wonderful clothes she made for me and my Barbie dolls. Using her quilts is like swaddling in precious memories.

I lost my Mom two years ago this Spring. I miss her everyday. Of course, I wish I could give this card to her, but sharing it with you is the next best thing. Hugs to you and Sterling.

I know it will be a big adjustment to not see Grandpa Great everyday and hold his hand, but from the way you talk about him, he is holding the hand of God right now!

Here is a card I had my stamp club make for a Mather's Day card:

Shelli-- I'm so sorry for your loss. I know this has been a tough time for your family.

I'm particularly thankful for my parents, and with Mother's Day approaching, I have a class planned for a project that Mom can use whenever she needs a handy card. Or since she's a great stamper, maybe I'll give her the 'to go' kit ;-) (just kidding, Mom!)

Hello Shelli:
My mom and I are super close and I wanted to make her a special card this year with my Stampin Up supplies. What better way than with the gorgeous Manhattan Flower and also the WW ribbon of which I dyed. I hope you like it. I know she will...
