Bring on Spring Challenge

I am so done with winter! I can say with quite some surety that I will never live in a place that experiences a full-blown winter—physically (and emotionally) my body just doesn’t do well!  We don’t have terrible winters here, but it’s about as much as I can handle.

So this month I want to see spring—anything bright and beautiful—whether it’s in cards, gifts, tags, pages. . . whatever. You name it, I want to see it. I can’t wait for spring to actually arrive, but in the meantime, I’ll be content with seeing what you have to share!

I am so ready for spring too! This winter seems to be taking so much longer than usual.

When I was brainstorming ideas for a new card kit, I skipped right over valentine's day and went right to spring. I love the way these butterfly cards turned out. This one is my favorite:

Here's a couple more cards in my favorite spring color combo: Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose, and Certainly Celery:

Our winters are pretty mild here in central Illinois, at least compared to what they get up north of us! But I'm still happy when the sun finally comes out to shine.

My daughter thought she could see some trees budding this morning, but I think she's just hopeful, too ;-)

Here's a spring birthday card with my favorite new Designer Series Paper:

And here is a collage idea inspired by your Leadership demos, Shelli!

I made this little chocolate gift using colours that remind me of spring, I also thought that with a few small changes it would also be suitable for Easter. I'm also looking forward to spring-for a cool change (in Australia) I hope you like my creation:

I too am ready for spring, and although we are nearing the end of our coldest season mid-Jan to mid-Feb we still have our snowiest month to come March! The infamous “they” say that it has been an average year and I am thankful for that as we have some years where we reach -80 because of the wind-chill. Do you see why I was so very excited to be in PHX for leadership in Janurary?

My husband always say its not April showers that bring May flowers; in Duluth it is May showers bring June flowers. At this point though I celebrate that each day the dawn comes a little bit earlier and the sun sets a little bit later.

The best to you in all you do!

I read your challenge and thought of this card I made to fight the winter blues. You may find it entertaining to note that I live in Central Florida; however, we had a couple of weeks of very chilly weather and were feeling very picked on with the cold. I decided to fight the chill by making something that reminded me of warmer weather and freedom from multiple layers of clothes.
