Color Creations Challenge

I  noticed some of the July entries focused on color, and since I’ve never done a So Shelli Creative Challenge focused on color, I thought it would be fun to see what creative things can be made using color combinations from our new and fabulous Color Coach. If you don’t have one, you NEED one!

Branch out of your usual color comfort zone and try a new combination. You’ll be surprised at the colors you’ll fall in love with just by using them, and I’ll love looking at all your creations!

I love the new Colour Coach! The format is much improved over the old one, and I use it so much more already. I just posted a card I made using Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Baja Breeze - a combination I never would have thought of without the Colour Coach. You can see my card here: http://lgoldhawk.blogspot.com/2010/08/curly-cute-aviary.html

Thank you for challenging us to push out of our comfort zone. I never, in a million years, would have come up with More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Night of Navy, but it WORKS! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_serbS6kRsmg/TF0Jv9aOVjI/AAAAAAAABfo/4sIrMjUmG1Q/s1600/SSC10-08.jpg

I love green & purple together, but I never would have added the So Saffron to the mix without the Colour Coach. Here's my card: http://lgoldhawk.blogspot.com/2010/08/fabulous-butterfly-prints.html

Here's a Christmas Card using Peach Parfait and Daffodil Delight. Not inspired by the color coach but from some ribbon and buttons sitting on my desk.

I just posted this on SC a couple days ago, and then saw this challenge. I love the new Color Coach and use it for every project now. I would never have come up with this color combo on my own, but it really pops and looks great IRL.
AND, I absolutely love the Hand Knit set - and I don't even knit, LOL!!!

I love the new Color Coach too! The new design is great and the color combos are awesome. Aren't our new colors fabulous to work with? This card uses the creative combination found on the Basic Gray swatch.

I wanted to make a card with Marina Mist and Very Vanilla for a few weeks. So I took out my Colour (yes, there is a "u" in Colour - I am Canadian!) Coach out and found the perfect one! Cherry Cobbler!

Hi Shelli!

Here's a card using the Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, and More Mustard combo for a card with a Fall feeling. Love the color coach. I've been using it from the beginning and love how it takes all the guesswork out of color decisions.

I think the new color coach is amazing! The combinations really have helped me step outside of my colro comfort zone and try some amazing new combinations! I was kind of afraid of the bright combination of Rich Razzelberry, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight but it turned out wonderfully!
