Fantastic Fabric Creative Challenge

The challenge for this month was pretty easy—we have lots of products in the new Holiday Mini Catalog (US/Canada) that I love, but there is one product that I am particularly excited about—our new designer fabric! I’ve always loved the idea of incorporating fabric into crafting, and when I saw our exclusive designs and patterns, I got even more excited!

So that’s the focus this month—fabric. . . especially our new Stampin’ Up! Candy Cane Christmas and Deck the Hall fabrics! Now, I realize that not all our markets have the new fabric—I’m not forgetting about you, I promise! If I have my way, all markets will have our fabric as soon as possible, but in the meantime, feel free to submit projects made from other fabrics, just be sure to include Stampin’ Up! stamps or accessories, OK?

Remember that the last day to post projects is September 30! And when you post a project, be sure to double check the link and make sure that it works! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Oops, I posted this on the wrong entry!!

Here's a project I designed for UStamp - there's material used on the back pages and plenty of scope for using the SU! fabrics.

This was one of my Artisan Award entries. I used MDS to create my own fabric pattern and then printed it on printable fabric. I used the big shot to create the outside pocket, ribbon for the handle, paper beads and an Simply Adorned charm for the zipper pull.

Shelli, when I first got my fabric, I just wanted to pet it, it's so pretty! But I finally got up the courage to cut a piece and made this card with it. http://trinitydesignstudio.blogspot.com/2010/08/stamping-411-saturday-sketch-challenge_20.html

I'm not much for sewing, but can see so many fabulous uses for this fabric in my paper crafting! Thanks so much!

I just opened and started playing with my new fabrics last night. I'll mostly use it on cards as I am NOT a seamstress. Here's the first card I created using the lovely Deck the Halls fabric:

Morning Shelli, we don't have the fabrics (Yet LOL) so I've used an organza as my stamping base, I've also punched it with Fancy Flower Punch. This card was made for the Just Add Ink Material challenge.

HI Shelli,
we don't have the SU! christmas materials but I have made a christmas card by stamping on calico. It was my DT contribution to the Just Add Ink material challenge.

I'm looking forward to seeing the SU! fabrics in Australia in the future. This is my first stamping on fabric and I really like the effect.

Hi Shelli...

I am so nervous about entering this contest! I just signed on as a demo in June and have only been stamping since last year! I still feel like a total rookie, but my upline encouraged me to enter this wreath I made using the Deck the Halls fabric.

I LOVE this stuff! I'm already well into my second order of it!
Thanks for looking and for bringing Stampin' Up into my life.

Me again...

Here is a card I made using scraps leftover from the wreath in the previous post.

If you check out my blog there are additional photos and a how-to explaining how I made it. I used the new Big Shot Multi-purpose adhesive sheets...they ROCK!!! Please bring them back in the next catalogue!

Hi Shelli

Can't wait until we have SU! fabric in Australia. Instead I will leave you with my DT contribution to the Just Add Ink challenge of 'Just Add Fabric'. I've used the Scalloped Envelope die to cut some felt to make a small money purse. Hope you like it!

I've been having fun making coasters out of scrap fabric. I made these before convention (so didn't have the new Stampin' Up! fabric yet)....these were gifts for my hotel roomies.

More coasters from fabric. I made these for my daughter's college apartment.

Even though it is not Stampin' Up! fabric I did use Big Shot dies: Scallop Square, Flower, Scallop Circles #2.

Hi Shelli,

I can't wait to play with my new fabric! But in the meantime I wanted to share my swap bag from last year's convention. I cut out Butterflies with the Big Shot and ironed them on my Swap bag. Here is a pic!

I'm so glad I already had the idea to make something with our fabric! LOL. Now I don't have to stress over what to make for the challenge. LOL.

I have used the circle #2 to cut out 4 circles in two different sizes then snip around the edges to create the petals. I have also use ribbon to make the grass at the bottom.

I have 2 projects to show you now, I'm hoping to have more done in a couple weeks-just gotta wait until the order comes :)

The first is a diaper bag my Mom helped me make for baby coming in 6 weeks. It uses fabric that isn't SU, but I used our dies and since the picture has been taken I've added a simple adorned charm to the handle that will have the baby's initals in it! The original idea for this bag came from Angie Kennedy Juda.

The second project is my first project made with our fabric. I can't wait to get more!!!

This is a table runner made with fabric from my local quilt shop. I made this BEFORE I received my beautiful SU fabric...can't wait to play with that!

I do an incentive for my downline each month where they can earn a "Class in the Mail Kit" from me by selling a set amount each month. I then provide them with all the consumable products they need to make 8 cards and samples using various sets. This time, I decided to feature the Deck the Halls Fabric in the Kit. You can find all my samples using this Kit here: http://inspirationink.typepad.com/inspiration-ink/2010/09/one-l.html. Enjoy!

Hi Shelli...here is another project I did this weekend using scraps of left over fabric. I remember doing these as a child with my mom and thought it would be a great use of our great new fabric!

Hi Shelli! I have two entries (so far). I went over and "borrowed" my Mom's sewing machine so I plan to play the day away today! Here are my first two entries:
