Fantastic Fabric Creative Challenge

The challenge for this month was pretty easy—we have lots of products in the new Holiday Mini Catalog (US/Canada) that I love, but there is one product that I am particularly excited about—our new designer fabric! I’ve always loved the idea of incorporating fabric into crafting, and when I saw our exclusive designs and patterns, I got even more excited!

So that’s the focus this month—fabric. . . especially our new Stampin’ Up! Candy Cane Christmas and Deck the Hall fabrics! Now, I realize that not all our markets have the new fabric—I’m not forgetting about you, I promise! If I have my way, all markets will have our fabric as soon as possible, but in the meantime, feel free to submit projects made from other fabrics, just be sure to include Stampin’ Up! stamps or accessories, OK?

Remember that the last day to post projects is September 30! And when you post a project, be sure to double check the link and make sure that it works! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Wow! I don't know exactly what I expected, but I was thrilled with the projects you submitted for the All Things New Creative Challenge. The challenge was pretty wide open, and I loved the variety of submissions! I saw bold, funny, elegant, sophisticated--a lot of different ideas and approaches. And everything I saw made me want to play with all the new stuff even more!

Color Creations Challenge

I noticed some of the July entries focused on color, and since I’ve never done a So Shelli Creative Challenge focused on color, I thought it would be fun to see what creative things can be made using color combinations from our new and fabulous Color Coach. If you don’t have one, you NEED one!

Branch out of your usual color comfort zone and try a new combination. You’ll be surprised at the colors you’ll fall in love with just by using them, and I’ll love looking at all your creations!

Sparkle and Bling Challenge Winners

It’s fun to see everyone’s version of bling! And I appreciated the details included with the projects because sometimes the photos didn't show off the bling as well as we'd all like! When the supply list was included, as well as instructions, I was able to imagine what the bling looked like. And in my imagination, every submission had a special sparkle and shine!

As always, congratuations to our winners! (Note that I'm posting two of the submissions right into the blog--many of you are linking to our own Stampin' Connections site, which is password-protected, so not everyone can see the submissions. I wanted everyone to see the winners, though, so I've included those that came from Stampin' Connection. I actually tried to download them all, but couldn't get the other two to save to a file that I could open. . . I'll work on that for next time!)

If you’re like me, browsing through the new catalog was pretty much like opening presents on Christmas morning—I couldn’t contain my excitement, and I couldn’t decide what new thing to play with first. So the Creative Challenge this month was pretty simple—have fun with everything new! Now does that sound like fun or what? In fact, I might have to participate in this challenge myself. . . .

I feel like all I've done the past few months is apologize for being late for posting a challenge, then apologize for being late for announcing the winners. And here I am doing it again! As usual, thanks for your patience (and maybe things will slow down a little and I'll be more timely with the coming challenges).

As always, I enjoying seeing your challenge submissions. I am always inspired and impressed by what I see when I start looking at the submissions, and this month was no different. Sparkle and Bling Challenge

Thanks so much for your patience--sorry it's taken me so long to get this challenge up.

I've been with my daughters the past few days, and when the topic of the challenge came up, it was only natural that the conversation would eventually end up on one of our favorite topics--bling! We all love sparkle, splash, glitter, and bling.

So how 'bout it? Let's see what you can all come up with. . . . There are lots of options, anything from rhinestone brads to embossing and everything in between.
