Dutch Oven Dinner

After weeks of sunny weather, wouldn't you know it? It poured rain last night, and there went our family night up in the canyon!

We hadn't even checked the forecast, so the rain caught us by surprise. We had everything we needed and everyone we needed, so we ended up having  Dutch oven dinner at the Gardner home instead of the canyon. The surroundings weren't quite what we had hoped for (certainly not worth taking any pictures!), but the company couldn't have been better!

So we've still got that first-time family canyon outing that has to happen this summer. . . . I'll let you know when it happens.

Sorry, it had to rain on your parade. As always you made the most of it! Glad you were all able to be together, enjoying your time while staying dry! Hope you catch up on your sleep too!

Sounds like fun anyway! Granted, it's been a long time since I studied such things in school, but I would have thought you'd have to go "down" to the canyon, not "up." I'd better go look up exactly what a canyon is! :)

I couldn't locate a spot for E-mailing your company so I hope you don't mind that I posted this on your blog. I just received the new 2011 Catalog and wanted to say thank you for making the stamp index print much larger than it was. That was my only complaint with the catalog and now it's perfect. You have done a wonderful job with Stampin'Up and I particularly appreciate it!

I, too, am inpressed with your continued efforts to make
the catalog better with the larger print in the indexes.
I also like the new red outlines to show punches that fit
partcular stamps in sets.

Thanks for all you do for us demos (I remain a hobby demo)
to make us feel successful/important, even if we can't attend Convention.

You really are working the cultures - explaining Boy Scout/Girls Scout Dutch Oven Cooking to a "dutchy","up the canyon" as opposed to down a canyon and Ranching to your Chinese guests, all in the same week! Love it!!!
Way to go, sister!!

I'm sorry to post this on your blog but I too couldn't find a spot to email your company. While I like the new catalog I am very dissapointed in the color changes. I can't believe you have no pale purple/lavender colors and yet there is an overwhelming number of pinks. I was a user of soft subtles and earth elements and you seemed to have altered these color families the most. I am a huge fan of the quality of your card stock, but my daughter's wedding is coming up and I had planned to make her invitations. Since her color is a pale lavender I'm now going to have to look elsewhere for cardstock. I'm know I;ll have a hard time finding the quality I'm so used to having with your product but if I make the switch to another company for their cardstock you'll probably loose me as a customer.
