Candy and Holly

I can’t believe it’s time for another creative challenge—the months just seem to fly by! Often when I’m brainstorming challenge ideas, I talk to whichever girls are available. Yesterday, Sara and Shalae were both riding into work with me, and I asked them what we should focus on—we all agreed on fabric.

Then, when we got into the office, there on my desk was a package from Karen Bernhardt, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, with two darling homemade bears made from our designer fabric. My assistant dubbed them Candy and Holly, after our fabrics, which are named Candy Cane Christmas and Deck the Halls.

Well, that just sealed the deal! (Aren't they adorable!)

This month’s challenge simply has to focus on our fabric—the girls and I are all in love with it, and the response we’ve heard from our demonstrators is pretty enthusiastic as well!

So check out the challenge, then start creating your fabric masterpiece and share it with the So Shelli world!

It's such a shame we don't have the fabric in Australia! It looks beautiful!

Here's a project I designed for UStamp - there's material used on the back pages and plenty of scope for using the SU! fabrics.

And those bears are just so adorable!

Those are adorable!! I especially loved how you used fabric on your cards and scrapbook pages at convention! As a NON-sewer, I've loved being able to add the texture to our paper that way! I never would have thought of it, so thanks for sharing with us at convention! Can't wait to see you in just 2 weeks!
Love,
Ronda

These are SO sweet! I would love to know how to make them. You know who is most excited about our fabric... Emily! I bought her a sewing machine last year and she's been going to town with it - her favourite thing to make?... stuffies! I will show her this post when she gets home from school; I know she'll be inspired!

Those are so CUTE! I can't wait to make one now! I love the fabric. I've seen a few really adorable projects with the fabrics, and it will be fun to see what people come up with for your challenge. Time to dust off the old sewing machine, I think!

It is just amazing! My second favorite thing after scrapbooking is sewing - now I have my two favorite things in one package! Double WOW!! Thank you, Shelli, for packing such a big punch into one hobby... (I am a hobbyist, but with this economy, who knows how long before this becomes a business for me?) I don't know if my psyche can stand all this fun in one activity, but am glad to give it a try - LOL!

Those bears are adorable! I'm not a big sewer, but I do love the texture the Candy Cane Christmas fabric added to this card. http://lgoldhawk.blogspot.com/2010/09/whatever-wednesday-glimmer-brads.html
I'm hoping that I might get my sewing machine to co-operate with me so I can make a sewn project too!

Mine isn't a winning entry level project, but my customers are excited to make them for Gift Class. (The flower brooches seem too large to us, so this is a smaller version.) TFL!
